Getting started

Setting up an EDB Data Migration consists of a number of steps.

1. Create a target database cluster in the EDB Postgres® AI Console.
2. Prepare the schema with Migration Portal and migrate the schema to the target database.
3. Prepare your source Oracle or Postgres database with sqlplus or psql.
4. Install the EDB DMS Reader on your machine with your terminal.
5. Configure the EDB DMS Reader on your machine with your terminal.
6. Create a new migration in the EDB Postgres AI Console.
7. Mark the Migration as completed in the EDB Postgres AI Console.
8. Apply constraints to the new database.
9. Verify the migration completed successfully with LiveCompare.
10. Remove customer software.
